The New York Jets have a huge game tomorrow afternoon in Seattle against a Seahawks team with everything to play for as well.
To this point, on the injury front, only two Jets have been ruled out for tomorrow’s game. Those two players being wide receiver Jeff Smith, and cornerback, Brandin Echols. The two also happen to be the top special teams punt coverage gunners opposite Justin Hardee, leading to some concerns and an opportunity for someone to fill in and contribute tomorrow.
Obviously, the headlining news all week when it comes to injuries for the Jets is the return of quarterback, Mike White. He was cleared very early on in the week, Monday, and undeniably gives the Jets the best chance to win out and make the playoffs.
Aside from White, let’s take a look at a few other key Jets returning tomorrow.
- Analyzing the Jets’ intriguing list of head coaching candidates
- Jets superstar QB could call it a career after 2024 NFL season
- Good news and bad news from the Jets 40-14 defeat against the Buffalo Bills
New York Jets getting multiple players back for pivotal matchup:
The Jets will be getting some wide receiver depth going into tomorrow. Denzel Mims, after leaving early in Week 15 with a concussion, was a full participant in practice on both Thursday and Friday and will be good to go for tomorrow.
One defensive starter making a return after a two-game absence is free safety, Lamarcus Joyner. He has played 100% of the defensive snaps over the Jets’ first 13 games of the year. After being limited with a hip injury in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, which is why he is listed as questionable, Joyner was a full participant Friday, and head coach Robert Saleh stated to the media yesterday that Joyner will be good for Sunday.
The final two players listed on the report yesterday to make note of are right guard Nate Herbig and defensive end Vinny Curry. Neither player was on the report as of Thursday, and both popped up yesterday as questionable. Not much was reported on or shared by Saleh yesterday. In the end, it seems likely that both players will suit up for the Jets tomorrow.
