Good Morning, New York Giants fans!

I have a feeling we are going to see some rookies emerge as starters in 2019, one of which is linebacker Ryan Connelly. He can be a great player for the New York Giants and replace B.J. Goodson, the oft-injured linebacker that has flashed potential at times.

Connelly is a quick defender that has immense natural instincts. Watching his film, you can see how quickly he diagnoses plays and shoots the gap, he just needs to work on finishing tackles and getting a bit stronger.

Check out the clip above – Connelly shows his skill-set against a solid Michigan team, bursting through the hole and literally jumping through a blocker to stop the runner in the backfield. One of the things I like most about the Wisconsin defender is his non-stop motor.

If you’re interested in seeing more plays from him, here’s his top 10 plays from last year.

A super underrated talent that can easily beat out Goodson if he shows the grit he maintained in college. Additionally, he’s been relatively healthy throughout his collegiate career.
