New York Giants: Positions To Keep An Eye On With Cuts Around The Corner

New York Giants

 Cornerbacks

It is no question that the Giants have a hole in their secondary. With the absence of DeAndre Baker, Sam Beal, and Xavier McKinney, New York’s pass defense is thinning out.

The Giants did sign some defensive backs today to make up for this. But the team is still in dire need of help at the cornerback position. With a week to go before the final fifty-three is set, it is not likely that the Giants will sign any other defensive backs. But there are a few defensive backs on the roster that could elevate to the position.

Darnay Holmes and Corey Ballentine will be asked to play big roles in 2020. Holmes will start in Week One as long as he is healthy. The only question is whether he will start on the inside or the outside. Corey Ballentine has that same question. This is something that the Giants’ coaching staff will need to determine by the end of this week.
