Good Morning, New York Giants Fans!
Training camp so far has provided more questions than answers, especially with all of the injuries and issues revolving around the wide receiver corps.
Despite their woes, some units are excelling and showing progress ahead of the 2019 season. One, in particular, the defense line, consisting of Dexter Lawrence, B.J. Hill, and Dalvin Tomlinson has the potential to excel.
The player of notice has been Lawrence, a 6-foot-4 behemoth of a man. Significantly bigger than Vince Wilfork, one of the league’s all-time great interior defenders. The Clemson product’s influence in the trenches will prove to be impactful, as he already showed his elite strength against center Jon Halapio on Sunday.
Yikes. That's one big dude with pads.

Check out the clip, not only does Dex hit Halapio with a deadly spin move, but his hand placement is impeccable. Every time Jon attempts to connect with his hands and push Lawrence back, they’re swatted away with ease. The timing of his counter-punch and speed is impressive for an interior lineman.
This is the type of pass rush both Dave Gettleman and Pat Shurmur hinted at before training camp. Clemon’s line was littered with talent last year, which scattered the statistical totals. Lawrence’s abilities are hidden in the tape, and if you take a look, he has Pro Bowl potential.
