The New York Giants have about $30 million in cap space to spend this off-season, but they can open up an additional $25 million by restructuring the contracts of Dexter Lawrence and Andrew Thomas. With money to spend and plenty of needs on the roster, here are 10 free agents the Giants could be targeting this off-season.
1) Mike Onwenu
If the Giants want to upgrade their offensive line, Mike Onwenu of the New England Patriots could be a perfect fit. Onwenu has experience playing both guard positions and right tackle, so the Giants will have the flexibility to use him wherever their biggest weakness lies.
2) Bryce Huff
The Giants could also consider targeting Bryce Huff, a pass rush specialist from the New York Jets. The undrafted free agent could earn more than $15 million per season, but the Giants desperately need support in that position, and he has plenty of talent to utilize.
3) Robert Hunt
If the Giants want a long-term solution at right guard, Robert Hunt, from the Miami Dolphins, could be a perfect fit. As a fantastic pass protector, he brings tremendous size and experience. There will be plenty of teams in the running for his services, but Hunt is only 27 years old and represents a solution at a position of need for Big Blue.
4) Jermaine Eluemunor
One potential option at right tackle is Jermaine Eluemunor, coming from the Las Vegas Raiders. Eluemunor has two years of experience with Giants’ new offensive line coach, Carmen Bricillo. He was a key player for an above-average Raiders’ line that featured several journeyman players. He understands Bricillo’s scheme and would be a more affordable option than Onwenu.

5) Kevin Dotson
Another solid option is Los Angeles Rams interior lineman Kevin Dotson. Dotson has experience at both left and right guard, putting together solid run-blocking metrics, and is a consistently adequate pass protector. He would be another upgrade to consider at 27 years old.
6) Jadeveon Clowney
If the Giants want to target a short-term pass rush specialist, Jadeveon Clowney could be a great fit. Clowney is coming off one of his best seasons from a statistical standpoint, and coming from the Baltimore Ravens’ defense, he undoubtedly knows what it takes to win. Clowney has experience in multiple schemes, so he would fit the Giants like a glove.

7) Chidobe Awuzie
Chidobe Awuzie is a good player at 28 years old and would serve the Giants well as their CB2 alongside Deonte Banks. With Adoree Jackson hitting free agency, Awuzie has experience in multiple schemes, and it makes sense if the Giants want to spend a bit of money on the position.
8) DeAndre Swift
If the Giants let Saquon Barkley walk in free agency, they could target an option like DeAndre Swift. Swift is coming from the Philadelphia Eagles and had a solid season behind one of the best run-blocking lines in football.
9) Kenny Moore
While the Giants need another outside cornerback, they could consider slot corner Kenny Moore, one of the best in football. Moore is a leader in the Indianapolis Colts’ defensive system and would immediately become one of the Giants’ best players on that side of the football.
10) Sean Murphy-Bunting
The Giants could consider Sean Murphy-Bunting, who’s coming from the Tennessee Titans, the same system that Shane Bowen led. Bowen is the Giants’ new defensive coordinator and is familiar with Murphy-Bunting, so there’s a tangible connection there.
