The New York Yankees didn’t need long for their leadoff hitter, DJ LeMahieu, to leave his mark on the series opener against the Baltimore Orioles. While Gleyber Torres is often the player torturing their ranks, DJ couldn’t let his impact go unnoticed.

LeMahieu, who’s returning from COVID-19, is looking the part. He’s attempting to replicate an MVP-caliber performance from 2019 when he hit 26 homers and 102 RBIs. He finished 4th in MVP voting and was a consistent piece on both offense and defense for the Yankees.

His impressive start against Baltimore is only one more factor to incorporate into his value – his ability to impact a game at any moment.
