The New York Giants have been forced to shake up their roster on a weekly basis due to the number of injuries they have sustained. On Tuesday, prior to Week 13 against the Washington Commanders, the Giants signed three players to the practice squad add released wide receiver, Robert Foster.

New York Giants Added to Practice Squad:

-OL Devery Hamilton

Hamilton has played 39 snaps this season, with 23 coming at right tackle against the Chicago Bears in Week 4 when rookie Evan Neal sustained an MCL sprain. He struggled in limited action, but the former undrafted free agent remains on the practice squad as a reserve option. With Tyre Phillips and Matt Peart on the roster, the Giants view Hamilton as a last resort.

-DB Trenton Thompson

The Giants also retained defensive back Trenton Thompson, who made an appearance in Week 12 against the Dallas Cowboys. He played 12 snaps on special teams in his first action as a professional.

-LB Quincy Roche

The Giants relied heavily on Quincy Roche in 2021, playing in 401 total snaps, accruing 14 total pressures and three sacks. However, Roche hasn’t made the same impact this year, being buried on the depth chart behind Jihad Ward and Oshane Ximines. He has played in just two games, totaling six snaps this season. At this point, the former sixth-round pick in 2021 is nothing more than a depth piece in case of injury.

Released from Practice Squad:

-WR Robert Foster
