New York Giants News, 6/8 – Are we really still talking about Odell Beckham Jr?

New York Giants

Good Morning, New York Giants Fans!

Sometimes I wonder if we will ever stop talking about Odell Beckham Jr. and his comments directed towards the Giants and Eli Manning. I’m hoping before I turn 80 in 58 years that we will be off this topic, but as long as the media is generating revenue off of it, we are stuck in the windmill.

However, his latest comments on Baker Mayfield throwing the ball harder than Manning shouldn’t be blown out of proportion. Eli tends to rely on his touch more than his arm strength, that’s always been the case. Quarterbacks throw the ball differently, that’s a basic observation from watching football over the years.

Nonetheless, it’s time to move away from Beckham and begin to focus more on the Giants’ current roster. The rookies look good and the veterans are really coming together to establish a culture we haven’t seen since the days of Michael Strahan and Justin Tuck. A gritty type of football that centers around team chemistry and success.

Bringing in veterans like Antoine Bethea and Golden Tate should help build around that idea. The rookies will certainly benefit from their experience and leadership.
