The New York Giants have hired a slew of assistant coaches on Monday, including defensive line coach, Freddie Roach, who overlapped with Joe Judge while at Alabama some time ago.

The former Alabama All-SEC player helped the two interior defenders for Ole Miss excel this past season.

Last season, Josiah Coatney (63) and Qaadir Sheppard (48) combined for 111 tackles and three forced fumbles. Sheppard produced a season-high 10.0 tackles for loss, while Markel Winters (4.0) and Benito Jones (3.0) paced the Rebels in sacks.

He will bring his talents to a Giants team with a firm interior defensive presence, including Dexter Lawrence, Leonard Williams (possibly), BJ Hill, and Dalvin Tomlinson. Expect him to elevate the interior D in 2020 and bring a tough-nosed attitude to the room.
