There’s been a lot of talk about the matchup between the New York Giants and Landon Collins, and Collins even managed to get into a scuffle with the player that has been dubbed his replacement, Jabrill Peppers, but Collins wasn’t the only former Giants player to end up in a particularly bad mood after the Washington Redskins lost in Daniel Jones’ home debut. There’s another perhaps less notable player that had some things to say, in this case about Giants fans.

The player in question is Ereck Flowers, offensive lineman for the Redskins and formerly a number nine overall draft pick of the Giants. It’s safe to say that Flowers isn’t the most popular player with Giants fans after not progressing much in three years with the team, despite being taken over a number of far more productive players who have come out of the 2015 Draft class, and it also looks like both sides share a mutual dislike.

That dislike came out following the Redskins loss, when Flowers had some strong words about the crowd of Giants fans that he had just played in front of at MetLife Stadium. “Once they get back to losing, the stadium will be back empty. That’s how I feel about them,” Flowers said to NJ Advance Media.

“I don’t care for Giants fans. They feel about me how I feel about dentists. I don’t care for this place much. I would’ve loved to have come out of here with a W, but it’s all good,” Flowers continued further.

The tackle turned guard isn’t going out of his way to win back any fans with his former team, it seems. But after the Giants defeated the Redskins without giving up a touchdown to them, it’s quite easy for Giants fans to simply brush this off as what it might just be – salt from a player who just managed to lose big to his old team.
