In the co-main event of UFC Vegas 28, we will see a fun matchup between two ranked heavyweights. The fan-favorite Big Ticket Walt Harris (13-9, 1 NC) is looking to bounce back as he takes on the surging Polish heavyweight Marcin Tybura (21-6).

This is a big fight for Walt Harris who enters as the eighth ranked contender in the heavyweight division. There might not be a fighter in the UFC worth rooting for more than Walt Harris after all he’s gone through over the past couple of years.

It’s widely known what happened to his daughter and he’s been trying to get back on track since that horrific event occurred. Prior to his daughter’s murder, Harris had gone 3-0, 1 NC with three knockouts. He looked like he was knocking on the door of a UFC title shot.

When he returned after some time away due to the tragedy, he fought Alistair Overeem. He came so close to getting a first round knockout, but he couldn’t finish the job and ultimately got stopped in the second round.

Then, he suffered a loss to Alexander Volkov at UFC 254. Now, he’s looking to get back on the winning path, but it’s not going to be easy. Marcin Tybura has won his last four UFC fights.

Tybura made his debut with the promotion back in 2016 and started really slow. He was just 4-5 in nine fights, but he’s really turned things around. In his last UFC appearance he stopped Greg Hardy in the second round.

UFC Vegas 28 Prediction

The UFC Vegas 28 co-main event is all going to come down to where the fight takes place and whether or not it ends early. There is really no secret as to what the game plan is for each fighter.

For Walt Harris, he’s going to try and end it early on the feet. Harris has great speed and a ton of power in his hands. On the other hand, Marcin Tybura is going to try and get this fight to the ground as soon as possible.

There are a couple of things that really play to Marcin Tybura in this matchup. The first thing is that he has a really good chin. Greg Hardy him him flush several times and he didn’t budge. The other thing that benefits him at UFC Vegas 28 is his cardio.

Walt Harris has to get a first round finish or I don’t see him winning. I’m not going to lie, I would love to see Walt Harris get the W tomorrow night. However, I think Tybura’s grappling is going to be too much in the end.

Prediction: Marcin Tybura by Unanimous Decision
