The UFC is returning to Paris on September 28th this year and we just learned of an absolute banger in the lightweight division. France’s own Benoit Saint-Denis (13-2) will return and will be looking to bounce back as he takes on the charismatic Renato “Money” Moicano (19-5-1).
AG Fight was the first to report the news yesterday afternoon. Starting with Moicano who is currently the tenth ranked lightweight in the UFC, he will be looking to win his fourth straight fight on September 28th. Back in 2020, Moicano was stopped by Rafael Fiziev, but since that loss, he’s been nearly flawless inside the octagon.
He has a 5-1 record with the lone loss being a very last minute fight against former champion Rafael Dos Anjos. If you throw that one out, Moicano has four finishes in five fights. Most recently he fought Jalin Turner at UFC 300. After nearly getting knocked out in the first round, Moicano battled back and secured a TKO in the second round.

There will be a massive fan backing for the returning Benoit Saint-Denis. Saint-Denis will be looking to bounce back after his first loss in more than two years. BSD got the opportunity of a lifetime back in March at UFC 299 when he got to face Dustin Poirier in a five-round co-main event.
With a win, Saint-Denis would’ve jumped straight to title contention. Entering that bout, he had won five straight fights all by finish. Saint-Denis was suffocating and looked great against Poirier in the first round. However, he hit a wall in the second round and got a little too wild with his striking. Poirier being the incredible boxer he is took advantage and knocked out Saint-Denis.
Now, Saint-Denis will look to rebound as the UFC returns to his home country. This should be an absolute banger and one that’s worthy of being five rounds.
