The UFC is booking a banger of a featherweight matchup in November. Earlier this evening, David Van Auken first reported that the promotion was booking a matchup between Bryce “Thug Nasty” Mitchell (15-0) and Movsar Evloev (16-0).
This battle of unbeaten top featherweight contenders will take place at a UFC Fight Night on November 5th. At this point, it hasn’t been confirmed whether or not this fight will headline the Fight Night or if it will serve as a co-headliner.
Evloev made his UFC debut back in 2019. Since then, the grappling specialist has rattled off six wins and he continues to look better and better every time we see him. His last three wins include Nik Lentz, Hakeem Dawodu, and most recently Dan Ige.
The Ige fight took place at a Fight Nigh in June. That night, Ige had no answer for the grappling of Evloev. So far, nobody has really had an answer for it. However, that might change in November.
UFC’s Thug Nasty Returns
There aren’t many characters in the UFC quite like “Thug Nasty”. In addition to being a character, Bryce Mitchell is a helluva fighter and he’s shown that off inside the octagon. He made his promotional debut back in 2018 and he’s looked better and better every time we see him. Just like Evloev.
Mitchell is a perfect 6-0 in the UFC. The last time we saw “Thug Nasty” was back in March at UFC 272. That night, he had the biggest test of his career in fighting former top contender Edson Barboza. To the surprise of every one, Mitchell dropped Barboza in that fight.
However, he’s known for his elite grappling and he showed that off as well. This is going to be a sensational matchup in November and this is definitely one fans should watch. Someone’s 0 has got to go.
