Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) is getting into the MMA business on May 16th and they are coming out swinging with some heavy hitters. We already know that Ronda Rousey – Gina Carano is headlining the card and former UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou is taking on Philipe Lins. Today, we learned of another MMA legend fighting on the card.
It was announced that superstar Nate Diaz (21-13) is returning to MMA and he’ll be taking on “Platinum” Mike Perry (14-8) at 170 pounds. Perry of course has been a star for BKFC and now he’s coming back to MMA for this fight against Diaz.
Nate Diaz has been hinting at an MMA return, but I didn’t think it would be with MVP. I figured that Diaz would return to the UFC to conclude his trilogy with Conor McGregor as it’s a fight that makes so much sense on all fronts. However, that fight isn’t happening and now Diaz is back to take on Mike Perry.
Perry hasn’t fought in MMA since 2021. He’s become a star for BKFC where he’s gone 6-0 and he’s the promotion’s King of Violence champion.
