Tonight in the main event of Triller’s Boxing event, two combat sports went head-to-head. Former heavyweight champion of the world Evander Holyfield (44-10-2) returned as he took on former two-division UFC champion Vitor Belfort (26-14 MMA).

The last time Holyfield stepped into the boxing ring was back in 2011. Holyfield retired after a victory ten years ago and he’s stayed away. However, Mike Tyson came back earlier this year, Holyfield started getting the itch to box again.

He was supposed to box Kevin McBride in August for an exhibition. However, the bout was ultimately cancelled. When Oscar De La Hoya fell out of this matchup with Vitor Belfort, Holyfield offered to step in on short notice.

The last time we saw Vitor Belfort was back in 2018 when he was knocked out by Lyoto Machida. After that fight, he put his gloves in the center of the octagon and retired. However, he’s been lured back into competition in the boxing arena.
