This morning there’s a little breaking news in the boxing world. Ariel Helwani reported that “The Problem Child” Jake Paul (6-0) will be returning to the squared circle on February 25th. He will be taking on an opponent he’s been scheduled to fight before in undefeated Tommy Fury (8-0).

The news comes on the heels of Jake Paul signing with the PFL last week. It is not known whether or not this bout will take place under the PFL banner. Those details are expected to come out in the coming hours, but what we do know is that Paul and Fury are once again scheduled to fight.

These two were originally supposed to meet in December of 2021. However, Fury had to pull out of the bout and Paul ended up taking on Tyron Woodley in a rematch and scored a massive knockout win. They were then scheduled to box in August of last year, but Fury had Visa issues which caused the fight to be called off.

Boxing Showcase

Of course, Jake Paul would go on to face MMA legend Anderson Silva and earn his most impressive victory of his boxing career. Now, he’s taking on the man that folks have wanted him to face for some time. I have to admit, I’m expecting Paul to be a pretty big betting favorite here.

I’ve watched both men compete and I’ve never been blown away by the boxing skills of Tommy Fury. Yes, he has the name and of course he has the best heavyweight in the world as his brother, but to me, he’s more about looks than pure skill.

That said, this will be the first time that Jake Paul is boxing someone in the same age range as him with a similar skillset and record. I’m anticipating a pretty large audience for this one. If it actually happens of course.
