Jimmy Butler wants to know why the Golden State Warriors have been stagnant this offseason.
Jimmy Butler displeased with Warriors front office
Per NBC Sports Bay Area’s Dalton Johnson, Butler would like Golden State to quickly ink Jonathan Kuminga to his next deal or forbear, Cooper Albers of the New York Post made note of:
“I can confidently say that Jimmy Butler has also reached out to the team and been like, ‘What’s going on here? I just want to know the plan,’” Johnson said.
The former No. 30 overall pick recognizes that the team has many free agents seeking to be signed. Al Horford, as well as De’Anthony Melton, lead the pack.
The Warriors already missed out on Malcolm Brogdon. They have a great need for a new center in addition to a new point guard, with only 11 days before training camp begins.
However, the Warriors have not prioritized their new options in favor of the 22-year-old wing. That’s because Kuminga’s deal could be anywhere from $7.9 million to above $20 million next season.

Warriors’ could fail to fill the roster ideally
The four-year veteran’s choice of the qualifying offer or the multi-year deal he has been given will lead to varying aprons for the Warriors in the luxury tax.
How much they would spend after that would be a major question, seeing that the Warriors will do all that they can to chase Giannis Antetokounmpo as well as Nikola Jokic in 2027.
Thus, saving money will likely lead to them forming a superteam in two years or not. In the present, though, time is money. With that is the pressing need to place the right role players next to Butler, Stephen Curry, and Draymond Green. The former would be appeased with a clear picture ahead.
