With Notre Dame Fighting Irish facing off against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the National Championship, the end of the college football season is near. And with that, comes the NFL Combine and draft season. Here are some NFL Draft Prospects you can keep an eye on during the College National Championship.
Five 2025 NFL Draft prospects to watch in the CFP National Championship:
EDGE Jack Sawyer, Ohio State

As seen from the previous week against Texas, where Sawyer had the game-sealing strip-sack touchdown to send Ohio State into the Natty. In Sawyer’s 2024 campaign, he has 9 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and recoveries, and 1 interception. He also has 56 total tackles, along with 6 passes defended. Sawyer has top-notch talent, and I could see him sliding into the first round and climbing up many draft boards. He is a great player, who would be a great fit for any team needing an edge defender.
S Xavier Watts, Notre Dame

Watts has been a top safety in College Football this season. On tape, he looks fantastic, and truly has proven himself as a part of the upper echelon of players in the draft. This season Watts has 66 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 6 interceptions, and 9 passes defended. Watts is a very high-IQ player, and tries to get his nose in on every play. He lets his instincts take over on every play, as he makes a big impact play almost every game. Watts is going to be selected on Day 2, and he will be a good player for whoever selects him.
EDGE J.T. Tuimoloau, Ohio State

Opposite of Sawyer, Ohio State has another elite edge in J.T. Tuimoloau. J.T. is an elite edge rusher, with a presence that will make offensive coordinators worry. 2024 is by far his best season, posting 11.5 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, 56 total tackles. Similar to Jack Sawyer, he had a tremendous impact against Texas. During the game, Tuimoloau had 1.5 sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 7 total tackles. He projects to go Day 2, and will provide a big impact on whatever team he is on.
LB Jack Kiser, Notre Dame

A driving force and one of the leaders of this Notre Dame team, Jack Kiser is a name to keep an eye out for. While he is not a great pass coverage backer, and not the most fluid in the run game, Kiser will put his body on the line and have extreme effort on every play. He is a proficient tackler, and could project to be a good backup linebacker/special teams player. He is extremely physical, and as a Day 3 pick, Kiser could be a good special teamer for all teams.
RB TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State

A big play threat at all times, Henderson will be a big threat for Ohio State against Notre Dame. And even more than that, Henderson could be an elite playmaker for any team that selects him in this upcoming draft. This is one of the most loaded draft classes for running backs in recent history, but Henderson is going to be one at the top of the class. Coming off of a solid senior season, Henderson posted 967 yards, with 10 touchdowns, and another 284 yards through the air, with a score. Henderson could be a good back in the NFL, and he seems destined to be a big play threat whenever he touches the ball.
