Between the time of their previous updated rankings on May 28 and then, New York went 5-1, having dropped the first game in their three-game set against the Los Angeles Angels before sweeping the San Francisco Giants in their ensuing trilogy. The Yankees scored seven or more runs in three of those matchups, continuing their high scoring in the 2024 season.
In those six games, the Yanks slashed .245/.325/.461 with a .786 OPS, nine home runs, and 30 RBIs. Their pitching staff produced a strikeout-to-walk rate of four and allowed no stolen bases behind a 2.89 ERA. The Yankees delivered on all areas of the field.

Further, the Bronx Bombers are now 8-2 in their last 10 games since improving to 43-19 in a 5-1 win over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday.
