When the YES Network broke away to commercial, the New York Yankees and Aaron Judge didn’t even consider taking a break. In the strangest third-out scenario, which seems to only exist in these exhibition games, the slugger launched a home run to right-centerfield. This followed a Gleyber Torres strikeout.
Judge, who hit two home runs on Sunday night against the New York Mets, continued his impressive streak of hitting against the Phillies. Just before Vince Velasquez left the game, he gave up the home run. He had previously pitched 5.0 innings of zero run baseball, recording six strikeouts and allowing three hits.
Here is the dinger Judge hit while YES went to commercial break.
YES Network takes a break, Aaron Judge doesn't, as he rocks a homer to right-center field!
Wouldn't be a game if Judge didn't hit a homer! pic.twitter.com/FWzfkTa49q
