It came out in early March that Aaron Judge suffered a stress fracture in his first right rib that likely was from a play during last postseason in which he dived for a ball. In the past month, Judge has shown significant signs of improvement with the first one being he doesn’t have to get surgery. He’s been receiving regular CT scans that have shown signs of improvement.

He was cleared by the New York Yankees training staff to continue workouts and is among a group of players that are eligible to continue working out at the team’s Tampa facility under Florida’s stay-at-home guidelines.

Since the permission was granted for Judge to continue rehabbing and working out in Tampa, Judge had said on a live Instagram chat with NBA stat Damian Lillard that he should begin doing “a little bit more… in about a week or two.” Despite not swinging a bat or throwing since early March, this comment made by Judge himself shows promise for a strong recovery.

We all want baseball to be happening, but the shut down might benefit players on the New York Yankees like Aaron Judge, James Paxton (Back), and Aaron Hicks (elbow) who have all suffered injuries but might be back in time when the season begins.

The MLB has discussed a modified season in which it would take place in Arizona and there would be different divisions. There have been mixed emotions from players and fans on this idea but if we can all agree on one thing, we want baseball back.
