The New York Yankees were notorious last season for bringing up player after player to replace spots because of injuries and having these triple-A guys perform significantly. This isn’t a coincidence though, the Yankees have one of the best farm systems in baseball.
Some big names on the New York Yankees roster have all gone through the system. Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, Gleyber Torres, and Luis Severino have all paid their dues in the minor leagues before being called up to the big leagues and becoming stars. There are even more names in the Yankee system that could be making an impact very soon as well.
Deivi Garcia
One of the more obvious and expected names on the list, Deivi Garica is the team’s top overall prospect and is expected to debut this season. Even though the Yankees got Gerrit Cole and the pressure of being the “savior” is off Garcia, he should still have an impact for the team at least in the bullpen.
WHAT. A. COMEBACK.

Albert Abreu
Expected to start his season off in triple-A up in Scranton, Albert Abreu could be quickly called upon if he finds his stuff on a consistent basis. Abreu struggles with his control and staying healthy so it’s tough to have him move up the ladder, but when he’s on he can be dominant.
Michael King
Michael King is one of the sleepers in the Yankee organization. He’s credited to a 2.93 minor league career era and has some nasty stuff. Expected to be on the roster this season for when someone goes down with an injury, King could come in and fill a role easily.
