After missing basically the entire season last year due to numerous injuries, Giancarlo Stanton must be one of the hungriest guys on the Yankee roster. He’s been under pressure since he’s signed with the Yankees in 2018 that he’s not worth his contract and etc.
People forget how talented Stanton is. It’s forgotten that in 2017 with the Miami Marlins, he blasted 59 home runs and knocked in 139 RBIs. He finished with as the National League MVP with a silver slugger award and was an All-Star.
Giancarlo Stanton’s 2018 is so under appreciated (not to mention he carried the Yankees for a good while when Judge was out)

Fans underestimate Giancarlo Stanton’s 2018 year with the New York Yankees. He slugged 38 home runs and drove in 100 runs. He’s never going to be a high batting average hitter, but if he’s able to put up a .270-.280 batting average while slugging 40 homers a year, I’m not complaining.
My predictions of Stanton for the 2020 season is as follows:
.278 BA / 41 HR / 103 RBIs / .355 OBP
I believe that Stanton will come into this season and kill it for the New York Yankees. He’s underestimated by Yankee fans and the rest of Major League Baseball when in reality he’s one of the premier players in the game.
Whether you like it or not, Giancarlo Stanton will be the primary left-fielder this season and in the lineup consistently. I understand his strikeout rates are high, but in this modern game of baseball, the “big fly” is what keeps you playing. He’s not in the lineup to hit singles, he’s in the five or four spot to cause some serious damage at the plate.
