New York Yankees young right handed pitcher Domingo German will be returning to the team once the team comes back from London. German was placed on the IL with hip discomfort after his start on June 7th against the Cleveland Indians.

Rehab had ups and downs

On Thursday, German pitched a rehab start for the Railriders. Over four innings, he gave up four runs and two home runs, but did get five strikeouts. His stuff was good, he just had trouble locating it.

German only threw 65 pitches in rehab, meaning that he will still need to be stretched out a bit once he returns to the Yankees.

Who goes?

Since German has been hurt, the Yankees have been doing bullpen games in place of his spot in the rotation. The team will get rid of a reliever, and my best guess is that it would be Steven Tarpley. It should be Luis Cessa, but the Yankees won’t get rid of him for some odd reason.

David Hale has proved himself on the roster, as well as Nestor Cortes Jr. Both have been really good of late and should have a spot on the team for the meantime.

German coming back gives the team another great starter and takes less stress off the bullpen arms. It will be good to see German back in the rotation and back to his norla dominating stuff.
