New York Yankees: David Robertson signs deal down I-95

David Robertson, RHP, formerly of the New York Yankees, who became a free agent following the 2018 season has inked a 2 year, $21 million deal with the Philadelphia Phillies.

He will be paid $10 million in 2019 and $11 million in 2020. It also includes a club option in 2021 for $12 million with a $2 million buy-out.

The 33-year-old native of Birmingham, Alabama who made his major league debut on June 29, 2008, has spent his entire career with the Yankees and Chicago White Sox.

Robertson has been a set-up man most of his career and sports a 2.88 ERA and 137 saves in 654 relief appearances over that stretch.
