The New York Yankees haven’t even begun the regular season yet and there are already several players with questions marks surrounding their name if they’ll be ready for Opening Day. Aaron Judge is among that group of players with concern but has express positivity about a possible quick recovery.

“It’s frustrating that we haven’t pinpointed exactly what it is, what’s caused the discomfort so that’s the frustrating part,” manager Aaron Boone said. “But I would say I feel a little more optimistic as to where we’re at.”

Judge has said himself that he’s feeling a little better which is a huge sigh of relief for New York Yankees fans.

“He’s doing better today,” Boone said. “They worked on him a lot yesterday. So, I mean, I would say we were a little encouraged this morning. But I don’t have much in reality.”

There’s still no timetable on a return for Judge as they’re taking it day-by-day with him. The training staff and coaches are being extra careful with the star right-fielder because they don’t want a repeat of last season.

The other player that possibly might miss Opening Day is Giancarlo Stanton who suffered a Grade 1 calf strain a few days ago. We already know that Luis Severino is missing the entire season and James Paxton will be out for the first few months with an expected return in June.

Domingo German will return in June from his suspension which will be huge for the team since Severino will be gone all year. If everything falls into place, these injuries shouldn’t be a huge concern.
