The New York Yankees Twitter account posted yesterday a video of Tyler Wade training and getting ready for the new season. These kind of videos are always entertaining to watch as a fan because we primarily only see the players on the field, and having a look at their personal life is fascinating to die-hards.

Tyler Wade is from California and talked about how New York City can sometimes be fast-faced, as anyone can imagine. “California is home, for me,” said Wade. “Living in the city is a lot, man. It’s a lot of non-stop and Cali is more low-key and when I come back home, it’s just a way for me to decompress and kind of just reset.”

Wade takes his offseason training to a gym named “Proactive Sports Performance” that is known to train other professional athletes such as Christian Yelich, Aaron Rodgers, and Paul George. “I love it,” said Wade. “It motivates me and I’m just excited every year when I come back in here. The workouts are great, I’ve been coming here for three years and I have guys always motivating me, pushing me to become a better version of myself.”

Wade made a point that he takes the work put in during the offseason serious because when its postseason time he’ll be ready to go at 100% and not be tired. “This feeling that I’m feeling right now is really going to pay off,” said Wade. “When playoffs come, I’m not going to be tired and I’ll be able to pull through.”

Just like the other Yankee players, everyone is expecting another big season. Wade knows that he has to be there for his team because 2020 is going highly anticipated for the New York Yankees. “I know how important 2020 is going to be,” said Wade. “I know how big of a role I can play and when I show up for Spring Training, I’ll be ready to go.”
