Success is often daunting in the face of opposition, and the New York Yankees epitomize efficiency and productivity throughout their history. Compared to any other team, the Yankees trounce any in the World Series and consecutive playoff appearance categories.

The 2020 season offers much more than just another campaign for the Bombers, it represents No. 28 in their trophy case and ring stash, however, the money they’ve invested in the team is beginning to push past ethical limits. They’re now past the third-tier of the luxury tax threshold with the $324 million they dished out to Gerrit Cole.

The frequent justification for the hate against the Yankees is their inability to win from within and their constant need to consume massive contracts for superstar players. That reality is false, considering the rise of Gary Sanchez, Gleyber Torres, Aaron Judge, and others. The team is built on young players, most of which developed in the Yankees’ farm system or were acquired in trades.

The New York Yankees seem to be the most hates team in baseball:

If you look at the graphic below, you can see how much of the country dislike the Bombers, spreading all the way to the west. It gives you an idea of how success can affect the ill-hearted.

Consider the New England Patriots, general football fans love the team, but any specific fan will indicate their displeasure because of their epitomizing success. “Give someone else a chance,” is a regular excuse I hear from fans of teams who have lackluster managers or owners. I’m a Giants fan, I would know!

The projected hitting order for the Yankees is one of the more intimidating lists I’ve seen in my day, and to be fair, I would probably be annoyed seeing it as a fan of a different team. Bless the baseball gods for making me a Yankee fan!

A look at the hitting order:

-DJ LeMahieu

-Aaron Judge

-Gleyber Torres

-Giancarlo Stanton

-Gary Sanchez

-Miguel Andujar (DH)

-Luke Voit

-Gio Urhshela

-Brett Gardner
