Fans can be fascinated but sometimes fanatics can ruin a good time. The New York Yankees fans are not immune to this and are becoming the poster fan base to this logic.

In the social media craze of #PinstripePride one is left to wonder if the pride is solely on the uniform or just a player or two the fan likes? The fans have been at odds over this whether it’s Bird Vs. Voit or Sanchez Vs. Romine and the ones down the middle are left feeling like the black sheep of the fan base.

Is it because their expectations have not been met or is it that the stats tell us they are just not that good? Both these arguments hold merit to either side. Regardless of what side you take, a changed mind is not likely to occur. Maybe somewhere in the future, a compromise could be met but till then we will still be debating in a Yankee faithful divided.

Even the debate over which players Brian Cashman should bring in or not has lit a spark and leaves us arguing over players not even in pinstripes. Sad. None of us know what actually happens behind closed doors and are left to speculate what we feel is absolute truth.

One thing is for sure and the only way to bring us all together is winning the World Series but for some, that still might not be enough to end the divide.
