New York Knicks rookie Miles McBride continued his rampage in the G League.
McBride put up monster numbers and hit the dagger three-pointers as the Westchester Knicks beat the Winter Showcase Cup champion Delaware Blue Coats, 117-107, Tuesday night at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT.
The gutsy Knicks rookie was clutch.
McBride scored 15 of his career-high-tying 39 points in the fourth quarter, including the back-to-back three-pointer that sealed Westchester’s second straight win.

The Blue Coats shot themselves on the foot when they incessantly complained over a Paul Reed technical foul in the final 95 seconds with the Knicks only up by two, 105-103.
It proved costly for Delaware.
The Blue Coats received five more technical fouls — two on its head coach Coby Karl and his assistant God Shammgod Jr. leading to their ejection and one on Shamorie Ponds, the G League’s 2021 top overall pick.
Karl, an assistant coach with Westchester during the 2015-16 season, threw his coaching board on the floor in disgust and was seen still shouting at the officials on his way out.
The meltdown stemmed from Reed swatting away a Westchester attempt to their bench after a timeout was already called. Westchester was only assessed with a delay of the game warning, much to the chagrin of the Delaware bench.
The Knicks, however, missed three of the six technical free throws, giving the Blue Coats a chance to steal the win. But McBride came through with two clutch three-pointers that sandwiched Myles Powell’s layup.
McBride came one rebound shy of his second triple-double. He added nine rebounds and seven three-pointers, both career-highs, with 10 assists, two steals, and two blocks in 39 minutes. However, he committed seven turnovers but shot the ball well, hitting 12 of 22 overall, including 7 for 11 from deep.
Four more Knicks scored in double figures.
Brandon Williams had 22 points and six assists, while Jericho Sims added a double-double (11 points and 14 rebounds).
The Knicks improved to 3-0 with McBride and hiked their regular-season record to 4-6, winning four of their last six games after a 0-4 start.
The Blue Coats, who were coming off a 131-95 rout of the G League Ignite, dropped to 5-4.
Westchester controlled the game in the first half until Delaware tied it at 82 on Haywood Highsmith three-pointer in the third quarter.

The Blue Coats even grabbed a 93-86 lead with 7:57 left but could not sustain it.
Williams hit back-to-back triples that kept the Knicks within striking distance. A Reed three-pointer gave the Blue Coats their last lead, 98-92. McBride’s thundering dunk triggered a 10-0 Knicks run he capped with a three-point basket for a 102-98 Knicks lead which they never relinquished.
Powell, who played for Westchester last season, led Delaware with 28 points on 10 of 20 shooting. Reed, the reigning regular-season G League MVP, added 20 points and 10 rebounds. NBA veteran Shaquille Harrison produced 12 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists in a losing effort.
The New York Knicks recalled McBride after the game to rejoin them when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.
