Without question, Julius Randle is the Knicks’ best player. He is coming off his best season as a professional and is looking to continue displaying his unique talents on the floor. Proving he can lead a team is part of his plan to prove his monetary worth for the long-term. He will likely run away with the accolade of the best player for the Knicks.
Many fans will differ when choosing the other two players to go with Randle. However, the two alternative best players for the Knicks this upcoming season are Dennis Smith Jr. and Mitchell Robinson.
The Knicks have not had a consistent, young point guard in what seems like forever. Smith Jr. is going to be looking to take a significant leap forward this year. He has been working on his jumper, which looks more polished. Fans already know about his athleticism, if he can fix his jumper, Smith Jr. can excel in Fizdale’s system.
Robinson is future center of the Knicks. He is expected to start, as long as he stays healthy. Similar to Smith Jr. Robinson is very athletic. He already is a blocking machine, can score in the paint and his working on his shot as well.
Robinson has unlimited potential and is poised to have a big year, as long as he stays out of foul trouble.
