The New York Knicks have listed RJ Barrett as doubtful for Monday’s home game against the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA’s latest official injury report.
Barrett has missed the last five games with a lacerated right index finger.
Recently, Barrett spoke about his injury and indicated that the six stitches required to close the wound have yet to be removed. But he reportedly participated in most of the Knicks practice drills on Sunday.
Without Barrett, the Knicks remained formidable, racking up four straight wins after losing their first game without him.
Before the injury, Barrett was on a 10-game tear, averaging 25.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists while shooting 47 percent from the field and 44.6 percent from the three-point zone.
Barrett is averaging 19.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists for the season.
