The New York Knicks reportedly want Tom Thibodeau favorite Reggie Bullock back in a potential trade with the Dallas Mavericks for Cam Reddish.
The Mavericks joined two more NBA playoff contenders as potential landing spots for the former lottery pick, who has fallen out of the Knicks rotation.
“The Knicks have redoubled their efforts to find a new home for Reddish with essentially three weeks to go until the deadline, sources tell The Stein Line, with the Dallas Mavericks having joined the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers on the list of known potential trade partners.”

The Knicks also have reportedly softened their stance as they are now willing to accept a second-round draft compensation on top of salary fillers.
The Knicks gave up a heavily protected first-round draft pick (via Charlotte) along with Kevin Knox to the Atlanta Hawks for Reddish, Solomon Hill and a 2025 second-round pick (via Brooklyn) last year. Reddish was selected by the Hawks using the 10th pick of the 2019 NBA Draft, a throw-in from Dallas in the Trae Young-Luka Doncic swap.
Reddish is owed $5.9 million this season as he is set to enter restricted free agency this summer.
On the other hand, Bullock is in the second season of a three-year, $30 million deal he signed with the Mavericks in 2021 when he left the Knicks after two seasons.
Bullock was an integral part of the Knicks team Thibodeau guided to the playoffs in his first season at the helm. He was their best perimeter defender and Julius Randle’s pick-and-pop partner. The Knicks held his Bird Rights after their playoff run, but after he was reportedly told to wait, Bullock went for the sure thing and accepted the Mavericks’ offer.
The 31-year-old Bullock averaged 10.6 points on 40 percent shooting with 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals during the Mavericks’ Western Conference Finals run in the last playoffs. But his numbers (5.8 points on 34 percent three-point shooting and 3.4 rebounds) have dipped this season.
Meanwhile, Reddish started the season teasing his potential, but his inconsistency and Quentin Grimes’ return have buried him at the end of the bench.
Reddish has not played since Dec. 3, coincidentally after a scoreless outing against the Mavericks in an embarrassing 121-100 New York home loss that sparked the Knicks’ turnaround this season.
