One week after Feron Hunt was dropped as one of the New York Knicks‘ two-way players, the 6-foot-8 forward is now headed to Birmingham Squadron, the New Orleans Pelicans G League affiliate.

The Westchester Knicks have officially traded Hunt in exchange for Squadron’s Justin Wright-Foreman, the Utah Jazz’s second-round pick in 2019.

The Squadron are also sending a 2023 second-round pick to Westchester in the deal that was officially announced on Monday.

Hunt averaged 16.1 points on 54 percent shooting, 7.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.6 blocks in Westchester’s first eight games. He also appeared in the NBA Summer League with the Knicks last July.

Daquan Jeffries took over Hunt’s two-way spot.

Meanwhile, the Knicks have sent Jericho Sims, Svi Mykhailiuk and Miles McBride to the G League in time for Westchester’s game against Capital City Go-Go at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, CT.

The trio is expected to be recalled ahead of their home game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
