However, the details of the deal are still being finalized, and according to Fred Katz of The Athletic, the Knicks also acquired the draft rights to Juan Pablo Vaulet.
Juan Pablo Vaulet: A Potential Long-Shot Addition
Vaulet has spent the last few years playing in the Spanish basketball league, but the 28-year-old could eventually opt for the NBA draft at some point, at which time he would immediately become a part of the Knicks organization.
However, he’s not been particularly productive, averaging just six points, 3.6 rebounds, and shooting 50% from the field and 30.3% from downtown. Given his age and lackluster performance in a less competitive league overseas, it is unlikely that he will make the transition to the NBA, but the Knicks are required to acquire the draft rights for an international player to execute the trade.
