Each and every year, there are new faces on NFL teams.  This year, the New York Jets have a few rookies that are showing great potential-one of them is cornerback Kyron Brown.

In high school playing for the Boynton Beach High School’s football team, Brown had a stellar career.  He totaled 50 tackles, six interceptions, one touchdown, 32 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries and one sack in his senior year.

Coming out of the University of Akron, Brown had a rather good collegiate career.  Brown had a whopping career total of 121 tackles, six interceptions, 1 forced fumble and 25 passes deflected.  Brown was invited to the 2019 NFL Players Association Collegiate Bowl.

Brown is an athlete that works hard and is constantly in training mode.  His efforts in the workroom earned him the Iron Zip Award as well as the Defensive MVP in the weight room following spring drills, from the University of Akron.  Brown is truly dedicated to the game of football, appearing in all twelve games as a Red-shirt Senior, one of only nine athletes in the University of Akron’s Zips football team to do so.  He was also named a 2018 captain and to the 2018 Middle American Conference Team.

Brown is also motivated when it comes to school.  After earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and criminal justice in the Spring of 2018, Brown decided to pursue a master’s degree to further his education.

Despite being undrafted, Brown has not let the negativity stop him.  He uses the doubters and the naysayers to motivate him and to fuel him.  Brown is currently on the New York Jets practice squad, but that has not stopped him from trying to reach his full potential.  He would rather focus on the process over the results, taking the harder way to achieve his dream.  Brown knows he is there to develop and that he will.  Brown is underrated and truly has the potential to be great in the NFL of just given the chance!
