The 2022 New York Jets draft class was filled with excitement. Two of the top four picks made by the Jets in the top-36 selections of the draft were on the offensive side of the football with electrifying skill position players.

Just yesterday, Lance Zierlein of NFL.com shared his top 10 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidates for the 2022 season. In the ranking, both Jets’ skill position talents, Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson, were highly rated, to no surprise.

Hall came in first, and Wilson ranked fourth. Wilson was the second-highest wide receiver on the list after only Treylon Burks of the Tennessee Titans.

This is what Zierlein had to say about Hall, “His size, juice, versatility, and — perhaps most importantly — opportunity should make him the favorite for this award.”

On Wilson and his offensive rookie of the year chances, Zierlein had this to say, “He can run, is able to play all three receiver positions, and has rare talent to elevate and clamp onto contested catches with powerful hands.”

Hall and Wilson are two of the main reasons why Jets fans are so excited for 2022 and the long-term future of the Jets. Both players offer complete skill sets to their relative positions. Starting this year, the two should produce for the Jets’ offense in a big way, even as rookies.

Both players will have substantial roles, with Hall getting many carries along with Michael Carter. Wilson will be one of the Jets’ top three wide receivers, along with Elijah Moore and Corey Davis.

If both Hall and Wilson can be in the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation, it likely means the 2022 Jets are doing some good things offensively.
