The New York Giants are expected to miss the 2018 playoffs due to a string of heart-breaking losses and referee mental mishaps. While there are no excuses for a team that has battled back from adversity, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. vows to take down anybody in the path of the surging team.

The Giants are coming off an impressive win against the Chicago Bears, where they put up 30 points against the 2nd ranked defense in the league. At 4-8 the playoffs are a long-shot, despite a very specific string of events that could see them with an opportunity. It ultimately comes down to the performance of the Phildelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, as the Redskins have lost their starting quarterback (Alex Smith) and backup (Colt McCoy).

Head coach Pat Shurmur will have to tailor a game-plan around stopping a quarterback that has been on Washington for just 10-days. His name is Mark Sanchez. There’s one thing we can guarantee heading into the game; Odell Beckham Jr. won’t go down without a fight.

The Giants’ top receiver stated:

“If our season is over, I’m making sure someone else is coming home with us. That’s the goal.”

We can imagine taking down the Cowboys would be a feat of glory, as they currently lead the NFC East with a record of 7-5, just three games ahead of Big Blue. Realistically, the Giants would need Dallas to lose the remainder of their games while the Giants win out. The Eagles would need to beat Dallas this week and lose the remainder of their games as well. You can see why we call this a “long shot.”

The Giants face off against Dallas in the season finale, and it’s seeming all too fitting that a potential underdog knockout could be in the works. We know OBJ is prepared to play spoiler.
