Fans might not have to wait long to find out the next GM of the New York Giants. The search process has moved forward pretty quickly, and it looks like ownership could announce the final selection not long after the last interview has wrapped up. That selection could come as soon as tomorrow.

According to Jason La Canfora, the job being offered tomorrow is the expectation right now.

The advantage of getting the GM search done quickly, of course, is that it allows the Giants to jump right into looking for a head coach. Some of the top candidates on the market, such as ex-Miami coach Brian Flores and Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, are already picking up interest from other teams.

The Giants are interested in both candidates, already having requested an interview with Quinn, and they could easily miss out if they spend too much time choosing a GM instead of searching for a coach.

It’s unknown at this point which of the three top candidates is the frontrunner to win the GM job, but with all three of them bringing experience from more successful organizations, it looks clear that the Giants are getting an improvement regardless of who is picked.

Of course, it might take a bit of time before the offer is accepted or rejected. But with the Giants getting rid of Joe Judge and providing a clean slate, it seems more likely that they’ll get the candidate they want. And if a decision is announced in the coming days, we can expect things to fully shift to a focus on finding the next head coach.
