If the New York Giants get Brian Daboll as head coach, they could also end up with two coordinators with a fair amount of experience behind them. According to NFL analyst Cam Marino, the most likely names that Daboll would go to for these positions are Ken Dorsey and Wink Martindale. The former, of course, is the current quarterbacks coach of the Bills while the latter was the defensive coordinator of the Ravens until recently.
From what I’ve heard in the last 24-hours, I’d be shocked if Brian Daboll was not named the head coach of the #Giants.
Sounds like he brings Ken Dorsey to be his OC and Wink Martindale as his DC.
Entire situation heating up in #NewYork..

It’s easy to see why Dorsey would be an obvious shoe-in for the offensive coordinator spot. As the quarterbacks coach with the Bills since 2019, he’s been a key part in the development of Josh Allen.
It’s often been said that even if the Giants drafted Allen themselves, his career wouldn’t pan out the same way thanks to a lack of infrastructure to support him. Having an offensive coordinator like Dorsey would help to ensure that by the time the Giants do eventually draft another quarterback, they can actually get the most out of their selection.
Martindale, on the other hand, was the defensive coordinator of the Ravens from 2018 until a few days ago when he was fired by Baltimore. His name being brought up here is intriguing, because obviously, his hiring would mean that Patrick Graham isn’t returning.
Graham hasn’t shown interest in leaving the Giants if not offered a head coaching job this offseason. But at the end of the day, the decision on whether the team is interested in keeping him around rather than going for a clean slate might come down to the new head coach – whether that is Daboll or someone else – and his preferences.
