There’s still months to go before the NFL season but we now know the teams that the New York Giants are going to face. The NFL schedule is out and the Giants have an interesting slate that includes some interesting out of division matchups. If you want to check out the full schedule, you can do so here.

The AFC East is playing the NFC East this year which means that the Giants will get to face off with both the Jets and the Patriots. The dates of those games are now confirmed, and interestingly, the latter is scheduled to be a Thursday Night Football game.

Many Giants fans won’t be too crazy about the idea of playing in primetime after the team’s poor performances on national TV last year, but the team has three such outings this season. One of them is the game against the defending champion Patriots which could either be a statement win or a blowout loss depending on how the Giants are doing at that point in the season. The game is in week six, after all, meaning there will be time to judge the performances of the team leading up to it.

The next one is when the Giants host their bitter rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, at home on Monday Night Football. The Cowboys won both matchups in 2018 including winning the second one by one point, so there will be definite pressure to come up with a better result this time. The third is in week 14 against fellow division rivals Philadelphia, which will also be on Monday Night Football.

The Sunday Night game also hasn’t been announced yet for week 17 so there’s a chance, albeit a small one, that the team’s second game against Philadelphia will be moved to that slot.

The Giants will also notably play the other team that shares their stadium, the New York Jets. This game will be in week 10 and will have a regular 1:00 PM ET start time. The season opener is once again against the Dallas Cowboys and will happen on the road, with a 4:25 PM ET start time.

How many of these games will the Giants win, and which ones are you the most excited for? The schedule release, after all, is a time when every fan can be excited, regardless of the state of their team. Right now, everybody is still 0-0.
