The New York Giants made a massive upgrade at the wide receiver position through this year’s draft, taking LSU standout Malik Nabers with the sixth overall pick. Despite landing arguably the top receiver in the class, the Giants still lack playmaking amongst the wide receiver corps as a whole.

Therefore, the team could still look to add to the wide receiver department to give quarterback Daniel Jones additional strong targets to throw to. Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine suggested Tennessee Titans receiver and former first-round draft pick Treylon Burks as a cheap option to help the Giants’ offense next season.
“There are many young options the Giants hope will hit big this season. Adding Burks would give them another body type with potential in the room. At 6’2”, 225 pounds, the former Razorback is much bigger than the likes of Wan’Dale Robinson (5’8”, 185) and Jalin Hyatt (6’0”, 185),” Ballentine wrote.
Ballentine’s trade proposal was that the Giants would fork over a 2025 sixth-round pick in exchange for Burks, a relatively small and reasonable deal for a guy who would be projected to be the no. 3 or no. 4 receiver in New York.
What could Treylon Burks bring to Big Blue?
Burks has struggled to have a serious impact on a Titans roster that has underperformed during his first two years there. He only has one career touchdown and caught just 16 passes on 30 targets in 2023. If he were to stay in Tennessee, he could have a more defined role with a new coach and a young QB, but the Giants have a lot more room to make him available for consistent usage.
Adding him could give the Giants a much more reliable third option in the offense after the signing of Parris Campbell last summer didn’t pan out as initially hoped, and after the rest of the team provided poor offensive output for a majority of the season as well.
Nothing in the markets has indicated that the Titans are ready to move Burks elsewhere, but as training camp is less than two months away, be on the lookout for New York to make some calls to add to the wide receiver room.
