Tomorrow night in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 57, one of the best prospects in the promotion will face is stiffest test. Undefeated sensation Shavkat Rakhmonov (15-0) will take on 27-fight UFC veteran Neil Magny (26-8).

Rakhmonov is the former M-1 welterweight champion. He made his UFC debut back in 2020 and he’s looked absolutely sensational. So far, he’s 3-0 and not one opponent has gone the distance with him.

Out of his 15 professional wins, nobody has gone the distance with him. That said, he’s never taken on a veteran like Neil Magny and if Magny does anything, it’s going to be giving Rakhmonov a stiff test.

The Haitian Sensation has gone 5-1 in his last six UFC fights. Coming into this fight, he’s won back-to-back fights over Geoff Neal and Max Griffin. Magny is as game as they come and he’s going to push the young Rakhmonov tomorrow night.

UFC Vegas 57 Prediction

For Neil Magny, this UFC Vegas 57 co-main event fight cannot be clean. He’s going to have to make it a dog fight if he wants to win. It’s tough for him because there’s not of places where he will have an advantage.

Magny does have a reach advantage and we might see that come into play with his jab. However, Rakhmonov has unbelievable kicks and we could see him really damage the legs of Magny with leg kicks from Magny’s jabbing range.

Rakhmonov has shown that he’s sensational on the ground and I believe he can get it there whenever he wants. Magny has to be active with volume and he has to be a little unorthodox to try and throw Rakhmonov off.

Elbows, front kicks, long rangey shots, anything to try and make it a fight. However, I think this UFC co-main is just going to be a ticking time bomb. When it goes off, Neil Magny is going to be in trouble.

I think Magny will do a good job throughout the first round of staying safe, but I think Rakhmonov finds him in the second. Expect a big combination that puts Magny down and Rakhmonov follows up with the finishing shots.

Prediction: Shavkat Rakhmonov by TKO – Round 2
