The UFC has finalized a banger of a lightweight matchup for their final card of 2022. MMA Junkie confirmed this afternoon that the promotion has finalized a lightweight matchup between “King” Bobby Green (29-13-1) and Drew Dober (25-11).

Dober is going to be searching for his third straight win inside the octagon. The last time we saw Dober was back in July when he scored a second round TKO win over Rafael Alves with a brutal hook to the body.

Prior to that, Dober had a sensational win over Terrance McKinney. In that bout, Dober was hurt bad in the opening seconds by the fast-starting McKinney. However, after weathering the early storm, Dober came back strong and finished the fight in the first round. Now, he’s looking for another big win over Bobby Green.

The last time we saw Bobby Green was in a short-notice fight against Islam Makhachev back in February. That fight came just two weeks after Green put on one of the best performances of his career against Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 271.

Green has been sidelined for a while after a sixth month suspension. However, he’s back and he’s ready to get back to work. I’m going to throw the fight against Makhachev out the window. Green had no time to prepare and took a shot against the man who is now the UFC lightweight champion.

Let’s focus on his previous two fights. Incredible performances against Haqparast and Al Iaquinta show just how good Bobby Green is. Drew Dober is no slouch and I’m expecting this to be a banger next month.
