UFC 323 goes down in December in Las Vegas and this afternoon, Dana White took to social media to announce the card. While it wasn’t included in the announcements, sources have confirmed that a flyweight showcase between former champ Brandon Moreno (23-8-2) and top contender Tatsuro Taira (17-1) will go down on the card. Krazy Kev MMA was the first to report the rumored matchup.

Starting with the former champion, he’s looking to prove that he’s still capable of climbing his way back to the flyweight title. Moreno will enter the December bout having won two in a row over former title challenger Steve Erceg and top contender Amir Albazi.

While his last two wins have been impressive, he might be a betting underdog in December. Tatsuro Taira has all the makings of a future world champion. The Japanese prospect is 7-1 inside the octagon and in his last fight, he completely demolished the previously undefeated Hyun Sung Park.

His only loss in the UFC and his career was a split decision loss to Brandon Royval. Given that the flyweight title is on the line in the main event, we could be looking at a title eliminator here.
