Bellator books title fight between Patricio Pitbull and Pedro Carvalho

Patricio Pitbull Freire

Bellator has re-booked a massive title fight in their featherweight division. Per MMA Fighting, the promotion has finalized the matchup between Patricio Pitbull (30-4) and Pedro Carvalho (11-3). Originally scheduled for March, the fight will now take place on November 12th.

Just hours before the Bellator featherweight title contest back in March, the promotion called off the event due to COVID concerns. The pandemic then shut down production, and Bellator has just been getting going over the last month. Getting their double champ back in action was a top priority.

Pitbull has been chomping at the bit to get back into the cage. He’s going to get his chance on November 12th. That event will take place at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. This is where Bellator has been hosting their US cards.

Bellator’s Best In Action

It’s not a secret that Patricio Pitbull is the best that Bellator has to offer. He’s been nothing short of dominant in his career with the promotion. He even knocked out Michael Chandler to capture the lightweight title. Chandler was of course recently signed by the UFC.

I will say that Pitbull does have his hands full in this fight. Carvalho is not a fighter to sleep on. He trains out of the same gym that produced Conor McGregor and he’s currently on a six fight win streak.

Pitbull is expected to be a big favorite in this Bellator featherweight title contest, but Carvalho is no joke. This is a fight that I’m really looking forward to. There have been a lot of eyes on Pitbull recently after his back and forth with fighters in the UFC.

On November 12th, Pitbull will have a lot of eyes on him. He can come out and show why he’s one of the very best in the world. If Carvalho is able to knockoff Pitbull, it would be a pretty sizable upset, but it is one he’s capable of pulling off.
