Tomorrow night, Bellator is back for their second event of 2022 and this event will feature a very intriguing welterweight matchup. In the main event of the evening, Neiman Gracie (11-2) is returning to the cage as he takes on the tough Logan Storley (12-1).

This is proving to be a very compelling matchup considering the state of Bellator’s welterweight division. In May, there is a pair of welterweight matchups that features the title fight between Yaroslav Amosov and Michael “Venom” Page.

Make no mistake about it, these welterweight matchups taking place at Bellator 274 are going to be on the radar of the guys fighting in May. Take Storley for example. His only loss in his entire career came against the champion Amosov.

In that fight, both men had their moments and it came down to a split decision. Had the judges voted the other way, Storley could’ve gone on to become the Bellator welterweight champion.

Gracie on the other hand has only lost twice inside the Bellator cage. He’s lost to Rory MacDonald and Jason Jackson, but both times after he’s bounced back well. He’s looking to pick up his second straight win tomorrow night.

Bellator 274 Prediction

This matchup at Bellator 274 is going to come down to a couple of things. The first thing to look at is going to be the takedowns and control of Logan Storley. Make no mistake about it, Logan Storley wants to land takedowns in this fight.

He’s likely going to get takedowns. However, the thing to watch is going to be his submission defense. With a name like Gracie, you know that Neiman Gracie has excellent submissions all the way around. We’ve also seen some solid striking and power from Gracie.

I think we are going to see a lot of clinch and ground fighting in this one. Logan Storley will land takedowns and Gracie is going to be looking for submissions. Clinch position on the feet is going to be fascinating because both men are very good at controlling their opponents.

Ultimately, I think Logan Storley gets it done at Bellator 274. I think his wrestling and top control game is good enough to land the takedowns and avoid submissions. However, if he gets tired in this one, I wouldn’t rule out a late submission for Gracie. If his cardio holds, expect a decision for Storley.

Prediction: Logan Storley by Unanimous Decision
