The Golden State Warriors suffered a 127-117 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night, and the story surrounding this game once again focused on the Warriors’ health issues.
Already dealing with lineup instability, Golden State lost three more players during the game, while Draymond Green was sidelined late due to back soreness. Al Horford, Quinten Post, and Seth Curry exited with minor injuries, leaving an already thin rotation scrambling to keep pace.
Edwards’ superstar too much for Golden State

The Timberwolves took advantage of the depleted roster, led by Anthony Edwards’ dominant performance. Edwards exploded for 42 points as he repeatedly found his spots and made it look easy.
His ability to attack effortlessly from all three levels off the dribble and create separation in isolation fueled Minnesota to build a 25-point lead in the third quarter, and the Warriors never recovered.
Podziemski potential future sixth-man of the year

Despite the loss, there were still encouraging signs for Golden State. Brandin Podziemski continued his strong late-season surge with one of his most complete performances of the year.
Podziemski finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds, recording his third double-double and eighth 20-point game of the season. He also shot an efficient 50 percent from three-point range, knocking down five triples.
His confidence has grown significantly over the second half of the season, and his expanding offensive role suggests he could be a key sixth-man contributor moving forward.
Porzingis had his highest-scoring game so far

Meanwhile, Kristaps Porzingis added another positive development by recording his first 20-point game with the Warriors. He’s still not 100%, but watching Porzingis play is an exciting glimpse of what next season could bring if he returns, and seeing how great he’d look teaming up with Stephen Curry in a two-man game is an opportunity not to be missed.
Warriors as the potential 10th seed looms
Still, the bigger picture remains concerning. With injuries stacking up and a six-game road trip approaching, the Warriors seem to be running on fumes. If the roster cannot recover its health quickly, Golden State risks sliding further down the Western Conference standings and potentially dropping to the tenth seed as the regular season enters its final stretch.
