New Orleans Saints Demario Davis P.E.A.R.L.S. for Girls a Gem of an Event

Just recently, New Orleans Saints superstar Demario Davis hosted a free event called P.E.A.R.L.S. for Girls #SocialSummer as part of his Devoted Dreamers Foundation which kicked off on Saturday, June 6th.  The event hosted an array of strong, powerful, accomplished women in a plethora of different fields.

Women at the top of their game from the beauty, fashion, fitness, entrepreneurship, and a whole lot more participated in the month-long event to serve as role models and pillars of inspiration to young girls everywhere.

Some of the amazing leaders of the month-long event included the Gleaux Factory a beauty spa, founded by Kyla Hayes, who shared tips on how to achieve a glowing complexion, the House of MJ, celebrity makeup artist, started by Malika James, who showcased different makeup looks, Latania Franklin a licensed clinical social worker, who works for Sista Afaya, which provides low-cost mental health services to African American women, promoted mental well being.

It also includes celebrity chef Amaris Jones, who showed how to make a delicious, hearty dinner of Cajun fish tacos, celebrity chef Lauren Von Der Pool, who made nutritious vegan cucumber cups, The Buttercreamery, a cupcake shop created by Shayla Barnes Holloway, who showed participants how to make a stunning beach-inspired cake, Sisterhood of Strong, a gym established by Theresa Horne, who taught viewers how to get a good workout, TaNe’Shea Howell, an American Sign Language certified interpreter, to showcase sign language basics,   Trina Powell-Cross, who enlightened the girls on living a holistic lifestyle, Microsoft who stressed the importance of entrepreneurship through a road trip and museum visit via online and so many more wonderful guests, followed and a special visit by founder of P.E.A.R.L.S. for Girls Sue Magee discussed loving oneself.  They truly pulled together a once in a lifetime event.

The empowering event also included fun giveaways and concluded with an awards ceremony.  This event was truly special as it provided young girls with women who are consummate professionals, class acts and role models for all, pillars in their community who promote and enact positive change for this society and lead the next generation,  something this society needs to not only see but follow in their own lives!
