With the trade deadline approaching, the New York Yankees might want to start considering a more prominent move rather than bringing in below-average players to supplement significant losses. On Friday, the Yankees announced that outfielder Clint Frazier would head to the injured list with vertigo, as he will undergo a battery of tests after experiencing dizziness.
Frazier has appeared in 66 games this year, hitting .186 with nearly a 30% strikeout rate. The reality is, the Yankees offered Clint an opportunity to be the starter moving forward, and he has underwhelmed considerably after posting back-to-back seasons of a .267 average. While his defense has improved to a degree, his offense has taken a significant step backward.
The Yankees recently acquired Tim Locastro from the Arizona Diamondbacks after being heavily time connected to Ketel Marte. Hopefully, general manager Brian Cashman has a few tricks left up his sleeve, as the Yankees desperately need more offensive support to help compensate for lackluster starting pitching as of late.
